The receptionist is available to assist you with registration for check-in and check-out as well as a card key and parking pass for the duration of your visit.

4.2 While the front desk receptionist can assist with general information, he/she does not manage this condo unit so if you need anything or experience a maintenance issue, please call or text me at: 214-435-1820.

6. Internet and Amenities

6.1 Internet: Free Wifi is provided! If the internet goes out, it sometimes helps to turn off / restart the modem located by the sliding glass doors. If that doesn’t work, call Spectrum to reset the modem at: 808-643-2100.

6.2 Pool, Hot Tub & BBQ: Open from 9 am to 10 pm. Your key card opens the gate.

7. After the Beach and Housekeeping

7.1 After the Beach: Please use either the beach shower or the outdoor shower at the pool and make sure all sand is off your feet, clothes, and shoes before entering the condo. Hawaiian custom prefers no shoes in the house, so please remove your footwear when entering the condo. Rinse all beach gear at the outdoor shower by the pool before returning to the condo. Shake out or shake off all shoes, clothing, towels, and beach gear outside and hang wet clothing and towels on the drying rack located on the patio/lanai.

7.2 Housekeeping: Daily maid service is not provided. Your condo will be spotless and towels/linens will be fresh and clean when you arrive. Basic cleaning supplies are under the sink, and a broom and dustpan are located in the closet. Mid-stay cleaning is provided by appointment only for an extra service fee of $112. Please call or text me to schedule.

8. Maintenance and Amenities

8.1 Maintenance: If anything doesn't work or breaks during your stay, please alert me immediately so it can be fixed. Even the smallest things can be fixed if I know about them.

8.2 Air Conditioner: There is a remote control located on the coffee table which turns the unit on and controls the temperature and fan settings. You can also adjust these settings on the unit itself.

8.3 Garbage Disposal: There is none, so please do not put food or any other items down the kitchen sink drain. These could stop up the drain and require a plumber and service fee to clear the obstruction.

8.4 Garbage: Trash cans are provided in the condo; one in the bathroom and two in the kitchen cabinets under the sink. The trash dumpster is located in the front parking lot. To prevent insects, keep the screen door closed, keep food tightly covered or store in the refrigerator, and remove trash daily. Please note that this is a tropical environment and we request that you take out your trash daily.  The cleaning crew charges $25 + State of Hawaii Taxes for cleaning out any trash left in the condo at check-out....it’s a problem with pests and we insist the condo stays clean and free of excess trash that attracts pests. Thank you for your cooperation.

8.5 Bathroom: Please flush only toilet paper down the toilet. A trash can is provided in the bathroom and under the kitchen counter for all other items. The dated pipes require extra care when disposing of waste materials.

8.6 Shower: It takes a minute for the hot water to flow through the pipes. If water isn't hot, inquire at the front desk.

8.7 Laundry: The 24-hour, coin-operated laundry facility is located at the top of the complex. Your card key provides access.

9. Smoking, Departure, and Damages

9.1 No Smoking: The Kona Islander Inn enforces a "No Smoking" policy for inside and outside the condo, including the pool and common areas. Smoking is allowed in designated areas.

9.2 Departure: Check out time is 11 am. *** PLEASE SEND A MESSAGE US WHEN YOU CHECK OUT. Clean dishes, empty coffee grounds, and take all trash to the dumpster. Hang wet towels on the drying rack. Leave your card key in the room or return it to the front desk.

9.3 Missing or Damaged Items: An automatic and minimum charge of $100 will be assessed for missing items. A security deposit of $150 will go towards replacing damaged items.
